Summer Internship (paid): June – August Application Window: March 1 - March 31st
*Partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County Workforce Development Program
Fall Internship: September – December Application Window: June 1- July 31st
The internship program includes being on set and working in different departments: camera, lighting, sound, art. It also includes an inside look at what it takes to keep the business side of a film company up to date: social media campaigns, public relations, marketing expenditures, film festivals, premieres, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can become an intern?
Anyone interested in filmmaking. Generally, we are looking for high school and college age students who are interested in majoring in the arts, but we welcome anyone of all ages to come on set and work with us. We love collaboration and are excited to work with whoever fits the internship expectation.
If I sign up, am I automatically an Intern?
No. Unfortunately, we have a limited number of opportunities as we are filming our own projects. Therefore, we do not have an infinite number of openings. We will select the candidates who we feel show the most promise and enthusiasm for filmmaking and work with them to give them the best experience possible.
Am I guaranteed work on a film project?
As a film changes from pre-production, production, and post-production, so does the operations that go along with it. We recommend participating in multiple internship sessions to achieve the full film internship experience.
