As many of you have already heard, we are in pre-production for our next project titled “Hear Me”. We are excited to finally announce our working synopsis:
Kennedy Blythe is a senior in high school and hasn’t been able to speak since her mom disappeared. When she finds herself on the short list for a prestigious scholarship, Kennedy sees an opportunity to start a new life. But in order to be awarded the scholarship, she must complete an oral interview. Now Kennedy must decide whether or not to face her traumatic past, something she’s been avoiding for years, to help her talk.

While it may have seemed like LFC has just woken up after a three-month hangover from releasing Honestly Ever After, we’ve actually been quite hard at work.
Right before the release of Honestly, our team sat down to have an honest (no pun intended) look at our first project. It’s always been important to us to be candid with each other and as we sat across from one another, we each spelled out in great detail our thoughts and opinions on the project, answering the two important questions, “What did we do well” and “What didn’t work”.
Without going into specifics, we decided to make some considerable changes before we even considered going into production again. We found that by far our biggest need for improvement was spending more time on the storytelling aspect of production. So we basically dropped everything, including our timeline, and worked on our core foundation, which is a really pretentious way of saying we worked like heck to absorb everything we could to help our ability to tell a story.
Out of that process came a few new ideas for a short film we had marinating for some time. We spent months fine-tuning the story details until we felt confident that we were ready to go into production again.
And here we are.
Consider this update the “cutting the ribbon” so to speak on our production of “Hear Me”. We’ve learned a ton during our time away and we’re extremely excited about starting up production again.
Check back here or on any of our social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, IMDb) for more updates on our production status. We are currently casting for “Hear Me” and planning our filming schedule.
We’d love to hear from you, so drop us an email or connect with us on social media.
